Book Club and Jim Devereaux's Address to the Parish

The next Book Club meeting will be at my home (11115 Innsbrook Way, Ijamsville MD – 301 865-5180) on Friday evening beginning at 7:30 PM on September 11^th unless a significant number of members can’t make it. An alternate date will be Friday, September 25^th. Please let me know if you cannot make it on the 11^th but can on the 25^th or if you can on the 11^th but cannot on the 25^th. Unless you hear differently the date is the 11^th.

The plan is to discuss George Weigel’s book “The Courage to be Catholic” (at least as much of it as you can read between now and then).

I am suggesting that we consider the Pope’s encyclical letter Charity in Truth for some future discussion.

Incidentally I am scheduled to give a talk on “The Role of the Christian Family in the Modern World” on Sunday evening September 13^th between 6:30-8:30 PM at St. Ignatius Ijamsville Church to kick off the monthly Adult Religious Formation Classes that will be offered once a month.
